Urban Riders brings together nearly 100 works—films, photographs, drawings, and more—inspired by Mohamed Bourouissa's first US project, which focused on Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club in North Philadelphia—a community facing socioeconomic challenges also prevalent in Paris's low-income neighborhoods where the artist grew up. 

This catalogue was published on the occasion of the exhibition Mohamed Bourouissa: Urban Ridersat the Barnes Foundation, Philadelphia, June 30-October 2, 2017. The catalogue features texts in French and English by Anna Dezeuze, Amanda Hunt, and Michael Nairn, plus an interview with the artist by Okwui Enwezor.
